Our Peeps Our Catalyst leaders come from different backgrounds and have various interests and talents, but the big thing they have in common is a love for the kids and a desire to see them connect with God and grow in their walk. |
Chris Wirt (Pastor with Students) 
I am a radical Jesus Freak, a husband (I try to be a good one) and a Dad. My wife Kim and I have been married for over thirteen years and have two wonderful kids, Emily is a fourth grade honor student and soccer player and Timothy is in first grade and recently discovered Lacrosse. I grew up in Odenton, went to Arundel Middle and High School, and went to Maryland Colleges for my Social Work degrees. I love to play football, and I wrestled in High School. Oh, and Go Steelers. I grew up in the Methodist Church and was active in a youth group with leaders who helped me, understood me, and most of all, put up with me. What a blessing. God called me to youth ministry when I was nineteen and the rest is history. I lead a youth ministry for twelve years in the Methodist Church and in 2004, I started volunteering with the Church at Severn Run Student Ministry. I've been the Pastor with Students here at Crossroads since May 2008. I love being a part of the lives of Middle School and High School Students because you’re not afraid to ask questions, you’re not afraid to have fun, and you’re not afraid to be real. Most of all, I want all of the students who are a part of this ministry to know that God is real, God is worth following, and God Loves them more than you could ever imagine. |

Jenn Brown (Official Catalyst Volunteer)
Jenn is our faithful volunteer for both Middle School and High School where she frequently can be found leading games and other cool stuff. And she has a pet rabbit, so she must be cool. She grew up going to the youth group Chris led years ago and since she turned out ok, we'll keep her around. She's a fourth grade teacher, and just bought a house. Hmmmm, Catalyst will have to hang out there soon and break a few things. Jenn loves the Ravens, but other than that she has good priorities for her life. |
